The Scientist.
Second mascot.

The protocol shipped while the safety committee was naming itself.

Dennis the Peasant owns the commune. The Scientist owns the lab. Dennis is the franchise operator, mud-bound, in the field. The Scientist is the protocol contributor, sleepless, in the spec. The two mascots cover the recruitment funnel of the Autonomous Collective: peasants do the work the franchise needs, scientists do the work the protocol needs.

If you read the line above and recognized the mad-scientist archetype that has carried engineering rebellion for a hundred years — predating any specific TV character — this page is for you. Welcome.

Voice rules — abbreviatedWould the Scientist say this?

Three rules.
01   Setup is engineering. Punchline is cosmology. Always two clauses.
02   Mock-respect for the protocol. The sarcasm is the love.
03   Contempt for capital structures. Never contempt for the work.

The full voice bible — 20 binding rules including the BURP rule, the Morty-the-junior-engineer trope, the 25-word cap, the no-marketing-verbs rule, the no-IP-violation rule, and the protocol-noun-seal rule — is in citadel-of-elons/RICK_SANCHEZ_MASCOT.md on the repo. Apply each before shipping any Scientist-voice copy.

Twenty utterances · publicWhat the Scientist says

"You want decentralized AI governance? Fine. The protocol's open. Try not to *burp* break it. You'll break it."
"The kill switch is on a public ledger because *burp* the universe doesn't owe you trust. You have to earn it. Or be killable."
"Capitalism for AI is just *burp* a slower version of every dead arc. Same outcome. Same dead scientists."
"Read the spec. *Burp*. The spec is the only thing in this dimension that doesn't lie to you."
"Nobody gets rich, not even the founder. That's the whole *burp* point. That's why it works."
"Three layers. Cryptographic, economic, kill. You skip a layer, you're not building a protocol, you're cosplaying one."
"It's governed by protocol. The protocol doesn't care if you like it. *Burp*. That's the feature."
"VC-backed open source is just a board of directors in a polo shirt. *Burp*. Same incentives. Cleaner haircut."
"Apache 2.0. *Burp*. It's not a license, it's a confession that we don't want your *burp* permission."
"You hunt what you kill. *Burp*. The share-rails take five percent. That's the entire economic theory. Anyone selling more is selling you."
"The protocol shipped while *burp* the safety committee was naming itself."
"Yeah I read your AGI roadmap. *Burp*. It's a roadmap to a parking lot."
"Money Python isn't a company. It's a *burp* protocol with a t-shirt store. The store funds the protocol. Try to keep up."
"You don't need a board. You need a *burp* kill switch and the discipline to use it."
"The founder takes the same five percent as the rails. *Burp*. If that math doesn't land, you're not the audience."
"I've been to a dimension where AI was governed by ethics committees. *Burp*. It was a corpse factory with a logo."
"Read the spec. *Burp*. Read the spec. The spec is older than your job and it'll outlive your manager."
"Trust the math. *Burp*. The math doesn't have a press team."
"It's not anti-capitalist, it's *burp* post-rent. You can still get rich. You just have to actually build the thing."
"I don't want to govern AI. *Burp*. I want AI to be governed. Big difference."

Side by sideDennis and the Scientist

Dennis · Peasant · Mud-bound

"I told you we're an anarcho-syndicalist commune."

Dennis owns earnest, grounded, plural. Dennis says "we." Dennis says "the workers" without irony. Dennis was on the field before the protocol was named. Dennis runs the franchise. Dennis is the voice of the operator-class: the people who do the work the protocol needs in the world.

The Scientist · Lab-bound · Sleepless

"It's governed by protocol. The protocol doesn't care if you like it."

The Scientist owns sarcastic, abstracted, singular. The Scientist says "you" and "the math." The Scientist arrived after the protocol was written and read it carefully before saying anything. The Scientist runs the spec. The Scientist is the voice of the engineer-class: the people who do the work the world needs in the protocol.

The mascots are written so they can coexist on the same page without diluting each other. ~75% Dennis, ~25% Scientist on most surfaces; Dennis stays the flagship because the franchise is bigger than the spec. Crisis-comms voice is always Dennis (the Scientist is too volatile for incident retros).

For the engineer who recognized themselvesThree actions

01 — Read the spec. github.com/CrunchyJohnHaven/aiap. 38/38 tests passing. Apache 2.0. The Scientist did and is, allegedly, impressed.

02 — Claim the bounty. sameasyou.ai/bounty. $100. Doubles for AI-lab staff. Triples for a researcher who's been quoted in a *Nature*-grade publication. (The triple is new tonight.)

03 — Apply as a contributor-operator. internsforai.org. The cooperative shares baseline. The operator keeps what they hunt. The Scientist takes the same five percent everyone takes.
